NOTICE TO JOB RECRUITERS This is a up to date notice designed to save both you and me time! BEFORE you message me... Please be aware that I am usually responding to only a small subset of the messages that I receive. If you do not read the notices below, and receive zero response from me, it will likely be on you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Please only contact me regarding roles that -ARE- or -CAN- BE 100% REMOTE ROLES. i.e. I am a location independent DevOps professional, that has a business base in a couple regions. This 'location independence' is a long standing personal preference. My preference has nothing to do with freedom of movement restricting covid-1984 police state oriented policies that have been widely implemented in many cities and countries. 2. I only do calls via 'modern' methods such as Signal, Telegram, Zoom, Duo, Meet etc. etc. These tools are all available 100% for free, or with free tiers and option plans. If you are too unmotivated, or too cheap to pay when your free tier is up, I suggest to move into another career/job outside of recruiting. Or please, just avoid me. 3. I really do not care if it is an audio or video call for our first call. I just want the best audio fidelity possible, so I can hear you as clearly as possible, so I use the more 'modern' audio/video options, and avoid telephone calls. 4. Regarding our first meetings / calls, DO NOT attempt to bait & switch me with a calendar invite for X method and then at the last minute, before our call email me something like, "Hey, send me your mobile number!", etc etc. I will just ignore your request. (yes, people actually try to do this) 5. Time and Time Zone abbreviations. Please take these things seriously. I work with colleagues and open source volunteers AROUND THE WORLD, that ACTUALLY take this topic seriously. Or "PDT" when it is "PST" for 1.5 months, etc. etc. I have been lobbying for the ending of twice a year time changes for a long time. Until, they are gone everywhere, please UNDERSTAND that there is a difference between things like PST and PDT or EDT and EST. It is usually better to write or say things like "Pacific Time" if you can not respect or consistently use short hand abbreviations properly.
